Internship Opportunity - Explo English
EXPLO, a summer enrichment program since 1977, is offering four internship opportunities for students in grades 9-12 at the Explo English program at Wheaton College in Norton, MA, from July 16th to August 5th.  Explo English is an English-language immersion program for international students to learn about American culture and the English language through hands-on courses, activities and field trips. Interns will assist Instructors during class time, attend activities and field trips with the students, and engage in social interactions as an American friend to the group.  Whether you are helping a student make a movie, going on a shopping trip to a market, or explaining the rules of basketball, you will be learning about other cultures, gaining experience in teaching methods, and making friends.

Interns will be on campus from 9:00 to 4:00 each day, M-F, and if necessary, will be provided with free transportation to campus on one of the Explo bus routes (http://explore.explo.org/hubfs/pdf/EXPLO_Wheaton_Bus_Schedule.pdf).  Daily lunch will also be provided. This is an unpaid internship, though participants will be able to receive confirmation of community service/volunteer hours.

To learn more about the Explo English program, please visit our website: https://www.explo.org/explo-english/.   Interested students should obtain one letter of recommendation from a teacher and send an email outlining their interest to Casey Cordrey, ccordrey@explo.org.
