Nichols Admissions Comes to WHS!

Last night, Paul Brower, the Assistant Dean of Enrollment at Nichol's College, delivered acceptance packages to WHS Seniors! It was great to share the exciting news with the students. Please keep your school counselor up to date with all news!

The Education Cooperative (TEC) Career Exploration & Internships Program is pleased to announce that the registration for the 2017 Summer Internship program begins Monday, January 16th, 2017.

If your students are interested in exploring a career before they pursue post-secondary education, our program is an excellent opportunity to gain: "real world" work experience, career-related skills, enhanced resume for college application and mentor-ship from professionals.

Opportunities are available in: Medical Research, Physical Therapy, Engineering, Chemistry, General Business, Marketing, Graphic Design & Production, Government, Public Relations, Special Education, and many more.

Spots fill up fast! We encourage students to submit their application early

NEBHE's Tuition Break program

The New England Regional Student Program (RSP), enables thousands of New England residents to enroll at out-of-state New England public colleges and universities at a discount. Students are eligible for the RSP Tuition Break when they enroll in an approved major that is not offered by the public colleges and universities in their home-state.

New England includes the following six states: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.  NEBHE Link 


Teen Life helps students, parents and educators find hundreds of "opportunities beyond school," such as summer programs, volunteer openings, after school activities, vacation week programs, gap year programs, and events just for teens and their families.

 High School Counselor Week is a weekly journal of current newspaper and magazine articles with themes related to adolescent development, college awareness, schools, and school counseling.
